«So I stayed alone in the balcony
Gazing the wooden bar you touched
Now my life has become a monotony
Since I met loneliness as such
Am I going to continue? I have no clue
My aim is just moving on
With all pain I’ve been put through
Not even knowing how far I could’ve gone
Though I know we’ll never see each other
Because we’re meant to walk a different way
Our memories are bound to smother
But I’ll strive not to let them fade away
My relief’s that one day your hand I hold
And that’s a joy more precious than gold»
A poem written with feeling and sincerity.

This is a poem written,I think almost exactly 2 years ago, indeed it was the first ever poem I made and it is a paradox that was in a foreign language…but thus it was originated.Always a pleasure remembering it.

Hello. Thank you for following both of my blogs. You are very kind.
I have just now read your poem I stayed alone. I am sitting on a balcony as I am reading it. Although it is bittersweet (a sort of beautiful sadness) it also has joy and hope. There is a song called All Over the World by Francoise Hardy. It has a similar sentiment. Glad to have found a new friend on WordPress. I am English but live in Corfu, Greece. I must try and write a little Spanish for you.
All the very best. Kris.

There is a bitter sweetness in your poem … It is reflective, gentle and a little sad …

Lovely! 😀
I just had the urge to start translating your poems into English – how do you feel about that? 🙂

The fact is that I’ve been already storing my english translations from my own spanish poems and I’m simply releasing them little by little in order to encompass as much time as possible.Otherwise,it’ll be just one week full of poems to offer and the rest weeks nothing to provide. So I’m keeping them in my »stock».Anyway, thanks for your time and for your support! 🙂

Ah! Then I won’t interfere. 🙂
Time is a strange thing when enjoyment is involved. Time given in exchange for enjoyment received is worth the investment.

I really liked that poem. It took me back to my youth and then all the way to my old age. Nothing changes. Thank you for the advice to read the Poems in English. But I find Google Translate is reasonably good at telling the story.

Parting is such sweet sorrow. You missed the memory of touch as well. Beautiful.
